TAM – Trade Activation Manager

As a Trade Activation Manager (TAM) the nature of the job itself is both challenging and fun, there is a great cooperate culture and team spirit amongst all employees.

Job Responsibilities

  • Mostly independent accounts
  • Some lifting is required
  • Build Displays
  • Sell in Products
  • TAM work schedule is Monday-Friday
  • Monthly meeting with manager to discuss PFP and challenges in the Market
  • Sampling new products in the market
  • Order POS from the sign shop as needed for the market
  • Execute POCM in the Market
  • Build rapport with account managers
  • Develop a rapport with salesman
  • Execute new Products in the retail market
  • Put up current POS, shelf tags and case cards
  • Regularly take ‘swag’ (branded promotional products) to the market
  • Brainstorm new product placement in market
  • Weekly send itinerary to manager
  • Regularly log activations (PFP) in encompass
  • Send weekly recap to manager

Items Needed for the Market

  • Suction cups
  • Current POCM
  • Branded stacker bases
  • Swag items
  • All needed signage for displays
  • Scotch tape
  • Boxcutter/scissors
  • Gloves
  • Paper towel/Windex
  • Tam Business cards

Must be flexible to perform other duties as requested.

A week in the life of a TAM

MONDAY Go to assign accounts, look up sales report to see how the account is performing, look for new product placement opportunity, current tags/case cards, display opportunity’s, beer reset opportunities. Put up current POS, shelf tags and case cards. Sell in product and build displays. Restock beer shelves and cooler doors. Overall look of the leader in the account. TUESDAY Go to assign accounts, look up sales report to see how the account is performing, look for new product placement opportunity, current tags/case cards, display opportunity’s, beer reset opportunities. Put up current POS, shelf tags and case cards. Sell in product and build displays. Restock beer shelves and cooler doors. Overall look of the leader in the account. WEDNESDAY Go to assign accounts, look up sales report to see how the account is performing, look for new product placement opportunity, current tags/case cards, display opportunity’s, beer reset opportunities. Put up current POS, shelf tags and case cards. Sell in product and build displays. Restock beer shelves and cooler doors. Overall look of the leader in the account. THURSDAY Go to assign accounts, look up sales report to see how the account is performing, look for new product placement opportunity, current tags/case cards, display opportunity’s, beer reset opportunities. Put up current POS, shelf tags and case cards. Sell in product and build displays. Restock beer shelves and cooler doors. Overall look of the leader in the account. FRIDAY Go to assign accounts, look up sales report to see how the account is performing, look for new product placement opportunity, current tags/case cards, display opportunity’s, beer reset opportunities. Put up current POS, shelf tags and case cards. Sell in product and build displays. Restock beer shelves and cooler doors. Overall look of the leader in the account.
